Terre Exotique’s zaatar seasoning will give your flatbreads and marinades a lemony zingy. Originating in Byblos, Lebanon, this spice mix is made from just five ingredients, with the key flavours coming with nutty sesame, thyme and citrusy sumac.
Acidic, aromatic and slightly salty, this Middle Eastern seasoning has strong flavours of sumac. It is wonderful served with olive oil for dipping bread in, using as a marinade for fish fish, sprinkling over shakshuka, or, do like Yotam Ottolenghi does, and use as an alternative for black pepper in cacio e pepe.
